Call for donations of food and toiletries

At the Dignity not Destitution rally, march, and candle-lit vigil on Thursday 12 November we’ll be collecting donations of food, warm clothes and toiletries for two local projects that help people fleeing persecution who are at risk of homelessness (the Boaz Trust and Salford Food Parcels).

Items that are especially needed include:

Tinned and dry goods

Spices and herbs

Fruit juices

Toiletries for men and women

Please help spread the word!!

What they need: Packaged food: pasta, rice, lentils, tins of vegetables and soup, tea bags, cereal, bottles of vegetable oil. Also nappies, all sizes, and toiletries: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, sanitary towels.

What they need:

Donations of storable food, clean clothing in good condition and general toiletries. Fresh fruit and vegetables are also great but can only be received on a Thursday as we cannot store them.
